It's been One Week....

I am now one week into teaching in Baby and Top class which are the two classes before Primary One, yes, challenging! However, I love it! I may be teaching the alphabet and be spending the majority of my day standing in a circle shouting "ONE! TWO! THREE!" You get the picture? That doesn't matter though, I love it. The kids are adorable and love playing, something we have in common! We have played many games, some I don't understand and some they don't understand, but that doesn't stop us all from laughing.

Sadly our secondary school has shrunk down to a size smaller than I thought even allowed! There are now no children in Senior one, two kids in Senior 2 and Senior 3 and the biggest class 5 in Senior 4, a little tricky for the others! It has left Calum with only 4 lessons a week, not the most exciting week right? Don't worry, he is also in the farm and trying to beat me with his tan, never going to happen with these Indian shoulders!

During the week we have done more than I think I have ever done in our village! We have found the well, not nearly as far as I though, Michael Jardine, your post report put me off ever going and leaving me to struggle for a good 4 months with no water!! I have then travelled back to the well and done all of my washing as well as burning my shoulders, and had a good hair wash, I shall be so much cleaner now!! We also took Bodas up to the rock where people worship to God and sacrifice goats, we thought it might be cool to go at first, then thought that they might decided to sacrifice us instead, we won't go if we are invited! The rocks were actually amazing! Unbelievably peaceful and relaxing, the one place I have found where I have a stunning view and no 'Bye Mzungu' I will definitely be returning soon.

After such a busy week (Kate and Calum, the new vols, are very active, not been here long enough yet)  we decided to head out on Saturday to one of Holly's friends houses where we ate lots of pancakes and played with an adorable kitten, before heading to Masaka to have a day by a pool, internet and relaxation! It has been amazing, very chilled! We even went for a midnight swim last night and have spent way more than ever before in Masaka buying some goodies for back at the project, all good investments, I promise!

Anyway, time to return to the village and climb into my foam bed until I return to school tomorrow for some "A! A! B! B!" Oh the school life I lead now, how I love it!!

All my love
